At the 2006 National Conference on Mentoring, held at Denver Seminary, approximately twenty-five conference attendees from around the world came together prior to the conference to discuss the possibility of an international organization designed to support Christians involved in the ministry of mentoring. There was a clear and strong consensus that the need exists and the time was right for such a network.

Six of these individuals subsequently volunteered their time to serve on the launch team of the International Christian Mentoring Network. The launch team (many now serving on the Board of Directors) consisted of members from California, Colorado, and Northern Ireland. In December, 2006 the network was legally incorporated in the state of Colorado.  We have a close affiliation with Denver Seminary and often co-host the International Conference on Mentoring.
